About

The History of the AntiCupcake Company

The founder, Cynthia (Cindi) Fleischer was born in Grass Valley, California and was raised in the San Francisco Bay area. As a child, she was constantly in the kitchen helping her mother prepare breakfasts, lunches, dinners and desserts. It was during this period of her life that she learned various secret family recipes, including the delectable cheesecake.

Originally, Cindi began a career in the Biotechnology industry (go figure!). She was a regular partaker in potlucks with friends and coworkers making her scrumptious treats available for the masses. Soon, requests for these treats, especially the cheesecakes, became too many for her to keep up with between school, work, and cooking! So, after 6 long hard years in the biotechnology industry, Cindi decided it was time to change to a more mouthwatering path, and so began the AntiCupcake Company.

The Name

In 2009, a trend began that was hard not to notice: cupcake companies were springing up everywhere offering gorgeously decorated cupcakes. However, Cindi realized something was missing from these pretty delicacies: flavor, umph, and zang. She quickly grew disappointed with these companies and their offerings. And so it became her mission: to create a delicious non-cupcake treat that would delight the masses. Something small and easily portable like the cupcake, but also delectable, smooth, creamy and irresistible with unusual flavors and generous graham cracker crust. And so she created the AntiCupcake- a small, portable Cheesecake to replace the cupcake.

And so cupcake lovers, if you think you want a cupcake, think again. The AntiCupcake Company’s Cheesecake will soon be your true craving!!
